What are your opening hours?
We are open from 11:00am - 5:30pm Tuesday to Friday and 12:00pm - 3:00pm on Saturday for Click and Collect and browsing. This may vary due to government guidelines.
What are wax melts?
Wax melts are basically wick less candles. Just put a piece or two into a wax burner and as the wax melts and releases the scent into the air, your room or house will smell fantastic.
How long will my wax melt last?
We recommend using 1/5 of our snap bar and to burn no longer than 3-4 hours at a time. This can last up to 12 hours. One or two pieces of our brittle wax will usually last around the same length of time, although this can vary as the size of the brittle wax pieces can vary greatly.
How do I remove my wax melt?
After allowing the wax to solidify. If the wax does not easily dislodge from the burner when you gently press it, you will need to light a tea light for around 10-20 seconds to slightly melt the wax to dislodge it.
Should I trim a candle wick and why?
We recommend trimming your candle wick to 5mm before each use. You can do this using a wick trimmer or a scissors.
How do I look after my candle?
Only burn your candle for 2-3 hours at a time. Always ensure your candle has achieved a full melt pool before extinguishing, this will help prevent tunneling and ensure your candle burns perfectly every time. Ensure your candle is always placed on a level, fire resistant surface away from any draughts and curtains. Keep your candle free from any foreign material such as wick trimmings and matches.
We recommend using a candle snuffer to extinguish your candle. This prevents the wick from drifting off centre and ensures you get the maximum burn time from your candle. Blowing out your candle is not recommended as the hot liquid wax may splatter and the wick may continue to glow and emit smoke. Always allow the wax to solidify before re- lighting your candle.
When will I receive my order?
We aim to dispatch all orders within 3-5 working days of an order being placed. This may change during busy periods.
Do you ship Internationally?
Yes, we do but at the moment our website is only able to process orders within Europe & NI. For orders outside these regions please email us on info@wixandwaxireland.com or message us on Facebook/Instagram.
