How to Take Care of Your Candle

Treat your candle with care and love by following our simple instructions and safety precautions.

You must always trim the wick to 5mm before lighting it, you can do this using a wick trimmer or a scissors. Only burn your candle for 2-3 hours at a time. Always ensure your candle has achieved a full melt pool before extinguishing, this will help prevent tunneling and ensure your candle burns perfectly every time. This is especially important on the first burn. Ensure your candle is always placed on a level, fire resistant surface away from any draughts and curtains. Keep your candle free from any foreign material such as wick trimmings and matches. And always make sure children are supervised at all times around candles.

We recommend using a candle snuffer to extinguish your candle. This prevents the wick from drifting off center and ensures you get the maximum burn time from your candle. Blowing out your candle is not recommended as the hot liquid wax may splatter and the wick may continue to glow and emit smoke. Always allow the wax to solidify before re- lighting your candle.
